HOW TO VOTE IN GEORGIA
Vote in 2018 Georgia Primary Election on Tuesday, May 22, 2018:
Vote Early: Monday, April 30 - Friday, May 18.
All registered Georgia voters are eligible to vote early in person at any early voting location within the County of their residence.
Vote on Primary Election Day: Tuesday, May 22nd:
Polls are open 7 AM–7 PM. If you’re in line by 7 PM, you’re allowed to vote.
Voters must go vote at their designated polling location.

Photo ID Requirements:
Georgia law requires all Georgia residents to show an accepted form of photo identification when voting in person:
- Georgia Driver’s License, even if expired
- Any valid state or federal government issued photo ID
- Free Georgia Voter ID Card issued by your county registrar’s office or the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS)
- Valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. Government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority or other entity of this state
- Valid U.S. Passport ID
- Valid U.S. Military Photo ID
- Valid Tribal Photo ID
- Student Photo IDs issued from a Public College, University, or Technical College in Georgia is acceptable as a form of Voter ID. *NOTE: If you attend a private school your school ID is not usable, you will need to bring one of the other forms of photo IDs.

Voter Eligibility:
To be eligible to vote in Georgia in 2018 you must:
- Be registered to vote in Georgia before 2018 Deadlines: Primary April 24th & General October 9th
- Be a US citizen
- Be a resident of the county or municipality where you'll vote
- Be 18 years of age by Election Day, Nov 6
- Not be serving a sentence (including probation or parole) for a felony conviction involving “moral turpitude.”
- Not be currently judged mentally incompetent by a court
All registered Georgia voters are eligible to vote absentee by mail.
Last Day for Absentee Ballots to be Issued in 2018 Elections:
- Primary Election: Friday, May 18. 2018
- General Election: Friday, Nov 2, 2018
1. Download the Application for Absentee Ballot
Request an absentee mail ballot by downloading and printing the Application for Official Absentee Ballot.
Absentee ballots applications must be recieved by the application deadline.
Voters are advised to request absentee ballots well in advance of the deadline.
2. Fill Out the Application
Step 1 · Provide county of your residence
Step 2 · Provide your GA Driver's License #
Step 3 · Provide the date of the election you’re voting absentee.
Step 4 · Provide the date you’re completing the application
Step 5 · Provide your date of birth
Step 6 · (Optional) Provide your phone number
Step 7 · Provide your email address
Step 8 · Provide your name
Step 9 · Provide your address
Step 10 · Provide the address where you want your ballot mailed, if different from Step 7
Step 11 · (Optional) Indicate the appropriate box if you’d like to receive a mail ballot for more than one election
Step 12 · Sign the form
3. Return the Application
Mail, fax, or scan and email the completed form to your local County Board of Registrar's Office
Return by Absentee Application ASAP before last day for absentee ballots to be issued.

- Follow the instructions to fill it out
- Include an accepted ID, if required
- Send your completed ballot so it's received by the close of polls on Election Day, at the address on the ballot return envelope
- Check the status of your ballot on My Voter Page

2. Fill Out the Voter Registration Application
Type your information into the boxes online and print the form, or fill in your information using blue or black ink
Step 1 · Provide your name
Step 2 · Provide your name and residential address
Step 3 · (If applicable) Provide your mailing address (if different)
Step 4 · Provide your telephone number and date of birth; then provide your gender and race/ethnicity
Step 5 · Provide your Georgia driver’s license or state-issued ID number and/or the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. If you don't have any of these numbers, check the box indicating that.
Step 6 · Affirm the following then Sign and Date the Application
Step 8 · (If applicable) Complete if you want to change the name or address of your current voter registration
Step 9 · Indicate whether you're on active duty in the military
